The power tariff may increase as a result of the upsurge in global oil prices following the Russia-Ukraine war, adjust price the base tariff and fuel tariff, or Ft rate to use to calculate electricity bills, to rise to high above 4 baht per kilowatt-hour (unit), says the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), 18/03/2022
From May 2022- August 2022, the power tariff may to rise to 4 baht per kilowatt-hour (unit) from January 2022- April 2022 are 3.78 baht per kilowatt-hour (unit), Which officials adjust the Ft every four months, basing their calculation on foreign exchange rates, power consumption and fuel costs.
The Ft would stand at 0.2477 baht per unit on top of an average base tariff of 3.76 baht per unit between May and August this year, according to the ERC.
